Introduction to Popcash
I found Popcash through Digitalpoint’s forums when some members compared its earning with other large pop-under advertising networks like Adcash, Clicksor, Propeller Ads, etc. Popcash was established in 2012, and the company is located in Bucharest, Romania. The business model of Popcash is simple: It only provides CPM pop under ads to advertisers and publishers. In the Popcash member area, you can get codes (as a publisher) and create campaigns (as an advertiser).
Before I register with any ad network, I try to reach the account manager through email, phone or instant messenger. This time, I emailed Popcash directly. An account manager, Mike, replied back to me very quickly. He provided me vital information like what kind of ads Popcash offers, what the minimum payouts are, and which payment methods are available with their company. I requested a direct ad link, but first he needed to ask me these questions:
- Can you provide a few websites from your network to check how the ads are displayed?
- Also, we would like to run the ads for a test period. Can you tell me what would be the amount you want to send daily?
- Do you plan on sending adult or non-adult traffic?
After I have replied, Popcash asked me to register an account and approved it. The whole process took about 5 hours.
CPM Rate and Earning
I sent around 300k impressions to Popcash for 8 days. It only counts 50% of my traffic. According to my report, eCPM is about 0.60. But I am surprised that the highest CPM country is South Africa. CPM rate has $1.87. But some tier 1 countries like U.S., U.K., Australia, etc do not have good rate. They are only around $1 or below.

I used The Media Trust to scan Popcash’s tags for one day (the limit of scanning is 1000 ads). Their ads are clear. Themediatrust does not have any malware/virus alert.
July 11, 2016 Update:
Today we get 111 malware alert from The Media Trust. It scans that URL: xl415.com delivers malware. We have paused its ad tag and ask them to remove.

Popcash.net is suitable for websites which have more traffic from Asia and Middle Eastern countries. Its CPM rate is higher than other ad networks. Also, its campaigns are clear. So far, I haven’t received any warning from The Media Trust.
Popcash monitors the traffic quality closely, and doesn’t like traffic from AWS, Google Cloud, VPS. If you send high percentage of this traffic, Popcash will suspend your account without notice and you’ll need to reach an account manager to explain.
The two problems from Popcash that can affect publisher’s earnings are the ad format and ad blocking. Popcash only has full-page ads, which won’t interupt the flow of your website, but limits how you can monetize your content. In addition, its ad serving domain name is blocked by ad blocking tools like AdBlock. I believe this is one of the reasons why there is high discrepancy in our reports.
Ad quality is the latest thing that I want to comment on. As a responsible advertising network, safe ads is very important. I have sent non-adult traffic to Popcash. Until now, no warning alert comes from The Media Trust. At the same time, I don’t see any tech support campaigns. I haven’t had time to test its adult ad tag, but I will update the post after I have tested with adult traffic.
