Keep it simple, stupid! The name of the game when developing your lead generation arbitrage landing pages is keep things simple. I’ve seen some affiliates spend hours on elaborate designs only to have them crash and burn as soon as they begin sending traffic. Rather than spending hours on one page, spend your time developing four or so to split test.
It’s been my experience that the simpler the page is, the higher optin rate. Keep your ‘Conversion Funnel’ in mind… You want to begin funneling traffic through your path as soon as possible. The longer a visitor stays and reads your landing page, the longer it is before you can begin the monetization process. When a visitor clicks your creative they should be doing so because you’re going to help them solve a particular problem (for us, it has something to do with health, wealth, or relationships). Your landing page should help them SOLVE the problem, but not until the visitor submits their information which creates a lead.
Bold headlines, strong calls to action, etc. should all be tested. The higher your optin rate is on your landing page, the lower your cost per lead will be, and the faster you will sustain satisfactory ROIs. I personally like to see my page convert around 35-45% at least. It should still be considered that at this rate you’re still losing the majority of your traffic. This can be monetized by using simple things such as exit pop-ups or quick downsells. Since the visitor expressed initial interest in your creative at least try and get something out of them.
When a visitor becomes a lead and begins your conversion funnel guide them slowly through the process but explain to them step by step what they need to do to yield you a successful conversion. Remembers a conversion means that visitor is getting their problem solved and they’re satisfied. I’m a big fan of Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, etc. as this shows them exactly what they need to do. Keep it simple and watch your conversion rates increase!
