There are many ways to make money online with CPA Affiliate Marketing but you may not know about what traffic sources you have at your disposal. I could not possibly cover all of the details in one blog post either so I am going to post about the top profitable affiliate marketing traffic sources that I use in myown personal and shared campaigns that I run. I’m not going to reveal any of our niches but I will share some great methods we use to make it happen for ourselves.
PPC Affiliate Marketing
PPC stands for Pay Per Click. The first method which is probably now my favorite is PPC. I have been an affiliate for years and when I started it was all about ClickBank. I would set up campaigns and target specific niches which I had some good data for. You have to collect this data for yourself so you possibly lose money at first. We all do. Just how it works.
With PPC you can really control your campaign as a whole. You know, what keywords you are targeting, what you pay per click and you can also get better results by improving quality scores and bring down your CPC. Not only that but you can take away the keywords that do not convert and trow them away. Yeah, you control the whole thing. There is even more control but that is the basics.
Sometimes just a simple headline change or an ad copy change is all your campaign needs to turn into a money printing machine. I know one of my campaigns that earns consistently was proof of this. All I did was add a ? to the end of the ad title and conversions spiked. Not sure why and I may never know.
You will find that Bing is a good choice for PPC traffic and Google tends to be a bit affiliate unfriendly…but you can get around that. Just be careful and follow all of the rules. You can also check out 7search. Sign up with them from our page and get $25 in free clicks just for depositing $100 into your account. Clicks with 7search are much cheaper than any other PPC traffic source and they are extremely affiliate friendly.
PPV Affiliate Marketing
PPV stands for Pay Per View. This method is probably one of the harder traffic sources to master but once you get the hang of it you can really tear it up and fast. I ran the My PC Back Up campaign for a while and did extremely well and still do. Just trying now to increase my volume and conversions. More on that later.
With PPV you are showing pop ups to web visitors and these pop ups must be flashy and attractive or you will not see many conversions. At least from what I have found in my own campaigns. The best thing about PPV traffic is that you can really do some huge volume and quick and the cost is so much lower than the traditional PPC traffic from sources like Google, Bing and Yahoo.
My two favorite PPV networks are LeadImpact and TrafficVance. They both do well for me with my campaigns and they are pretty good with support and take care of you as long as you follow their rules. Just start out small and build your campaigns to prevent exhausting your funds too fast. You want to make sure your URL’s and keywords are converting as well as turning a decent ROI for you.
Media Buying Affiliate Marketing
A media buy is the purchase of a banner ad on a website. This can be a great investment if done properly. There are certain things you must consider before a media buy and this should always be done. You need to make sure that you are getting cheap clicks and high conversions. That is probably common sense but there is more to media buying than meets the eye. If you spend $1,000 on a media buy for a $4 payout offer then that media buy has to return you some massive amounts of clicks…right? I do think so. It will take a lot of time and traffic to meet break even point and you should really do all you can to keep that ad interesting and fresh. If you get 2,000 clicks then you just paid .50 per click and lets say you converted only at 30% which is a generous number. That is 600 conversions and $2400 in revenue for you. That is a decent buy but lets say that you convert at a 10% which is still high in my opinion. That is 200 conversions and $800 in revenue. So you lose money there and $200 to be exact. It is important to keep tracking and changing your media so that it stays fresh and really converts for you.
Even changing the entire ad and copy is necessary sometimes to get people to click it. You must be creative and stay on top of things. I think that a direct to site buy is the most profitable because there is a point of negotiation which you can make and get a better ROI by spending less.
You may read or hear it all the time. People say to stick to one traffic source and master it before moving on to another traffic source. I too recommend that. You will thank me later for this advice.
